Research Center for Childhood Accidents

The Research Center for Childhood Accidents is a competence center in the field of research of the causes of pediatric accidents. It is connected with all relevant disciplines and departments within the Medical University of Graz and supports prevention work on a national and international level with findings from its diverse research projects.

„Safe Kids Austria“

Accidents are is the leading causes of death in children under the age of 5 and the second leading causes of death in older children. Since 1983, the "Austrian Committee for Accident Prevention in Children", or Safe Kids Austria, has been working to improve child safety in Austria. The aim of the association is to provide local, regional, national and international information about the importance and possibilities of childhood accident prevention and thus reduce the number of childhood accidents.
